Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday Jack had relatively short (45 minutes) morning naps. I dutifully lay down during each of those, hoping to get some sleep myself, but I didn’t get much. I have a terrible time falling asleep for naps and it just isn’t enough time for me to get any real sleep.
This morning I planned to go to my mother’s group, which meets at 10. Of course this morning is when Jack decided to take a long nap! I lay down for a while but heard him stirring after an hour, so I got up and got dressed and went into his room: and he was asleep again! I ended up being 45 minutes late, but it didn’t matter, because no one had shown up. Boo. I am really craving some social interaction so that was a bummer. I was supposed to have a lunch date on Tuesday but that was canceled.
I did get to see Tonja while I was there, our fabulous lactation consultant who helped us through those initial dark days of breastfeeding. It’s amazing to me that in a few weeks Jack will be having his first solid food. Time is really starting to speed up.
Tomorrow I’m going to our first music class.. I hope someone shows up for that at least!
