British Baby Words Quiz: Answers

Booo, no one submitted any guesses!  Chris wanted to but I told him he was disqualified.  Here are the answers:

  1. Nappy : Diaper
  2. Wind : Gas
  3. Cot : Crib
  4. Carry cot : I don’t even know.  A portable crib of some kind.
  5. Up the wooden hills to Bedfordshire : up the stairs to bed
  6. Dummy : Pacifier
  7. Grizzle : Fuss
  8. Pushchair : Stroller
  9. Flannel : Washcloth
  10. Cuddly toy : Stuffed animal

    Sorry, I was going to respond to this but I was busy changing Jon’s nappy, trying to get him to sleep in his cot, and listening to him pass wind. We haven’t given him a dummy yet but I’m sure we will if he continues to grizzle. By the way, I knew the “cuddly toy” one from my conversation with Chris’s parents when they were visiting! :)
